I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
